How the Tournament works

Hosted in our Classroom, the Chessable tournaments are held in the Swiss system. Winners play winners, losers play losers. You will have 5 minutes to play plus 2 seconds increments whenever you make a move.

We will have 5 rounds and at the end the results will be shared with you at your WeWork building and over email!

3 Levels

There are 3 different levels on which you can play. Each one of these levels lead to a different “Room” where you can go to on March 31st to play with people on your level.

Beginner

You only played a couple of games in your life? You don’t know what rating is? This one’s for you! Only players who don’t know any openings should attend this level. You should basically only know how to move the pieces.

Intermediate

This level is for players who are not at a complete beginner level – i.e. you’ve already learnt some tactics, and maybe some openings – and you’re also not rated (or rated under 1400).

Advanced

You are a pretty decent chess player! For experienced players with ratings above 1400.
